Create a fake sun in Lightroom

I just finished retouching a photo of a waterfall in Alaska that was submitted to me by Colleen Garrity Baida. After I edited the photo I had an idea that the photo would have more of a wow factor if there was a light source, or a sun, at the top of the image. So using Lightroom and not Photoshop, I put a light source into the image filled with warm light. I then cropped the image square for Instagram and made a video out of the process. The video can be viewed below.

The video shows every step I took to edit this photo from start to finish. No step has been left out. If you want to see my workflow for photo retouching, here it is. Please give it a watch and leave a comment. Thanks! Tim Shields Photography
